I am SO excited to announce that I have been chosen as a Best Damn Race Ambassador! I ran the inaugural Best Damn Race this past February. They were nice enough to have it on my birthday 02/02/13. Hubby and I both ran the 5K in what would be the first race in a year of running for me. I loved this event. It was close to home for me in beautiful Safety Harbor, right along the water of Tampa Bay. Since it was in February, the weather was a crisp winter day. It could not have been a better day to celebrate my birthday and run a race.

The Best Damn Race is coming back to Safety Harbor on 02/01/14 and this time I am running the half marathon. And even more exciting? The Best Damn Race, in only it’s second year, is branching out to Orlando on 03/01/14. I am going to run the half marathon there as well. Besides the excitement of running two half marathons a month apart, I will also earn a super cool “Double” medal, in addition to the medal they will give out at each event. Three medals for two races? I’m going to need another medal display! (The Double medal is given to participants who run the half marathon distance in both cities.)
